PART ONE – What People Say About Brianne and Lauren

From Their Hidden Qualities, to Their Comedic Talents

Miami Vice was an action-packed police drama, which aired on NBC from 1984 to 1990. Don Johnson played James “Sonny” Crockett, and Philip Michael Thomas played Ricardo Tubbs. They have played vice detectives for the Miami Police Department.

In more ways than one, Brianne Bateman and Lauren Gardner are more awesome than Crockett and Tubbs. It’s not just the fact that these two women were Broncos cheerleaders: Bateman was on the squad from 2005 thru 2010, and Gardner cheered both in 2007 and 2008; they were both on the team. However, both women go many steps beyond their Broncos cheerleading days. Gardner is a sports reporter; one of her gigs is the sideline reporter for MTV2’s coverage of LFL Lingerie Football. Bateman is a dental assistant.

This series of profile pieces not only discusses life after cheerleading, but it also shows how Bateman and Gardner are as a duo: broadcasting, comedy, physical fitness, humanitarian work, their hidden qualities, all kinds of fun stuff.

Both were born and bred in the Denver suburbs: Lauren is from Westminster, and Brianne is from Littleton. Both have stayed home to go to college. Bateman majored in television broadcasting at Metro State College of Denver, and Gardner majored in Political Science at CU Boulder. Bateman and Gardner are homegrown brainiacs.

Both know that broadcast journalism is very hard to get into, especially sports broadcasting; they don’t just have faces made for television. Both are comedians, even though they don’t perform at the comedy clubs. Both are sports fans. Both are go-getters. Both are movie buffs. Both are very talented dancers, and they have been for years.

Think of Lauren Gardner as Don Johnson, and imagine Brianne Bateman as Philip Michael Thomas. These former cheerleaders may not be vice cops in Miami, but their awesomeness is through the roof, or above Sports Authority Field at Mile High. This series of profile articles about Brianne and Lauren will explain why it is so.

Chris Miller is a local comedian, and he is dating Brianne Bateman. Peter Burns is not just Lauren Gardner’s friend, but he is her fellow sports broadcaster.

Miller and Burns are both valuable sources of information, which starts breaking ground on knowing interesting and fun stuff about Brianne and Lauren. From the idea of them as a comedy duo, to fun stuff unknown; this first piece (in this series of profile articles) explains why these two former Broncos cheerleaders are as wild, adventurous and exciting as Crocket and Tubbs.

THERE’S SOME INTERESTING HIDDEN QUALITIES ABOUT BRIANNE AND LAUREN, WHICH THE WHOLE WORLD HAS NOT KNOWN ABOUT.

Sure, there are some fun parts Broncos fans have known Brianne Bateman. These were according to the cheerleader page on the Denver Broncos website. Plus, these bits were during Bateman’s five seasons on the squad. Bateman is an avid movie goer, and she can quote lines unlike any other movie buff. From nanny to dance instructor, she had jobs that anyone can shake a stick at. Why is that? “She is a go-getter,” Miller adds, “to have a girl with beauty and a brain is a gift from God; she’s awesome.”

Even after Lauren Gardner has hung up her pom-poms for good, there is still even more stuff fans already know. She is getting her pilot’s license. She is a humanitarian, and she spent Thanksgiving 2011 in Cambodia with her mom, where they taught at the school for impoverished children. She works in sports broadcasting, including being a sideline reporter for MTV2’s coverage of LFL Lingerie Football. She does yoga. But, there are some other fun and interesting parts, which other writers have left out.

For Brianne Bateman, her facts are amaziballs. According to Miller…

• She can still do the splits
• Bateman loves traveling. I’ve never met a girl, who has seen as many parts of the world, as she has.
• She is an avid reader
• She excels at Scrabble
• She is a spelling bee champion

For Lauren Gardner, she’s not so bad herself. According to Burns…

• A lot of people don’t take humanitarian trips, let alone give back.
• That is one of the things I like about Lauren.
• She’s a goofball, and that is why people like her, because she’s just one of the guys.
• It’s doesn’t matter if it’s charity work, or a sports gig. When she dives into it, she dives right into it. She takes chances and goes for it.

Both Lauren and Brianne are go-getters, especially with the idea of just going for it. Both women are goofballs, which are one of the most attractive qualities. Whether a trip is for giving back, or it’s a pleasurable adventure, Bateman and Gardner are no strangers to traveling.

BATEMAN AND GARDNER AS A COMEDY DUO WOULD BE AMAZIBALLS

Over the years, comedy duos have brought the world laughter. In today’s world, newer and more fun comedy duos make the world laugh even harder. Today’s duos include the following: Harold and Kumar, Trey Parker and Matt Stone (the creators of South Park), Jay and Silent Bob, Penn and Teller (Las Vegas’ nationwide comedic magicians) and Tenacious D (Jack Black and Kyle Gass (Guitar-playing comedians)). What about comedy duos that are female, and are there any ones who look gorgeous?

“Most comedians are hideously ugly,” says Miller, “Chris Rock, for example, is not a handsome guy.” More comedians are in fact ugly (Andy Dick and David Spade). Another group of comedians are aging (Chevy Chase and Howard Stern). Third group are chunky (the late Chris Farley). Miller is spot-on with that statistic.

“If you had two women that hot, and who can do comedy, they’d rule the world,” Miller proudly states. Bateman and Gardner are not just yummy on the outside, but on the inside, they also have the ability to make people laugh. With good looks and a sense of humor, Bateman and Gardner have the power to light up any room.

HIDDEN QUALITIES AND COMEDIC TALENTS – THEY’RE WHAT MAKE GARDNER AND BATEMAN AS WILD, ADVENTUROUS AND EXCITING AS CROCKETT AND TUBBS

Broncos fans visit the cheerleader page on the Denver Broncos website, and they look at the bio of each cheerleader. That’s how fans know some qualities of Brianne Bateman. There have been some interviews with Lauren Gardner in the past. From getting her pilot’s license, to LFL lingerie football, those qualities are what fans of Gardner already know. But, what about the hidden qualities left out? Bateman’s hidden qualities are the following: still doing the splits, a spelling bee champion, and a traveler who has seen all of the world, and a master at Scrabble. This is Gardner’s qualities: when she sees something awesome, she goes for it; she doesn’t over think; she is a goofball on and off camera; she is the queen of taking risks.

On top of being beautiful on the outside, they are also goofballs on the inside. They can take on male comedy duos any day. People like Miller and Burns, who have been around Bateman and Gardner, should know. These two women are one of the guys. Both Gardner and Bateman are funny. Camera-pretty looks and equal-funny qualities; those are what makes them champions over Harold and Kumar or Trey Parker and Matt Stone. These two women should perform at the comedy clubs, or better yet, do a show on television.

With their beauty and sense of humor, Bateman and Gardner place Debby Downer under arrest any day. Just like Crockett and Tubbs take down bad guys, including those in possession of narcotics. With their abilities to take risks, and their hidden qualities, Brianne and Lauren can rapidly chase down awesomeness. This is especially true, as Gardner (the former Face of Champ Car) takes the wheel of the Ferrari Testarossa. Friends and co-workers (like Chris Miller and Peter Burns) gave this reporter some cool parts, which were unknown about Bateman and Gardner.
